On Sunday evening, students from Staicele Primary School, together with their parents, met and welcomed project partners from Estonia, Spain and Romania, and hosted students- project partners to their families.
On the first day of the project, all participants were invited to an English class at Staicele Primary School, where Erasmus + Project Coordinator Vizma Lūse addressed the participants and introduced the planned activities throughout the week.
Sandra Brokāne, Headteacher of Staicele Primary School, Māris Beļavnieks, Executive Director of Aloja County Council, and Inga Mauriņa-Kaļva, Head of the Aloja County Education, Culture and Sports Commission, wished everyone success and creative cooperation during the project week.
In order to get to know the project partners better, a 'Geography lesson' followed, where students in international groups discussed what was special, important, find out what students are proud of in their school, town and country, what was special about it, drawing and presenting it to others.
All the project participants danced together for the Olympic Sports Day Exercise Complex; it was very attractive.
The students of Staicele Primary School introduced their school to the guests. Grade 9 student Daniels Sokolovs gave a presentation about the school, after guests had a chance to see the gym, the library and the classrooms.
Participants were introduced to the 1st number of the Project newspaper, which provides a summary of the project participants' answers to the following questions:
Why are working in an Erasmus+ project?;
Values gained working in this Erasmus+ project;
Does your school prepare you enough for the future?;
What do you think will be your future job and how you can use it/practice it in the way you can protect the natural resources/nature?
