Lori and her husband Jerry at Bridal Veil Falls in Spearfish Canyon
Lori with latest passion, mosaic crochet
My husband Jerry & I have been together since '77 and married since '81. We have no children except the furry kind. We're both retired and living mostly off grid on our 52 acres of beautiful Texas Hill Country near the Frio River. Our closest large town for shopping is Uvalde. ( Unfortunately, I imagine that most of you know where that is).
Before retirement we lived on a ranch next to LBJ Ranch near Stonewall, TX for 30 years. I have also lived in Rapid City SD, Austin TX, San Francisco CA, Corson SD, Larchwood IA, Whitten IA, Jacksonville FL, Thornton CO, & Fredericksburg TX.
My work life was quite varied including:
Phone company in SF, Sales clerk, seamstress, construction worker, woodworker, Residential and Vocational Coordinator in a community MHMR program for 9 years - supervising 27 people, plant nursery woman at Wildseed Farms, and finally liquor store manager.
My newest passion in retirement is mosaic crochet. I also embroider, weave baskets on occasion, crochet purses, hats and afghans, and do other arts and crafts as the spirit moves me.
I'm a tree hugger who believes in diversity. I love travel, camping, reading, cooking and most of all my husband, family and friends.
I think we can make this world a better place through LOVE and understanding.
So send those love vibes out while you're dancing to your own drummer.
