Graduated from St John’s Univ. (MN) in 1975. By then had already started working in IT at a St Cloud business called Bankers Systems; was there 24+ years. Stayed in IT for my entire career; but as of April 1 this year, am now “semi-retired”. Still doing some contract / consulting work, as a cloud & database architect / engineer, basically for fun money (vacation trips / home projects). But busier than I want to be, so planning to wind down most of that this winter; maybe still a little advisory consulting. Used to do some tech writing, some IT teaching, quite a few seminar presentations (including Sioux Falls).
I married a local lady- Mary Mehr; we’ll be celebrating 40-yr anniversary this Nov. Our kids are age 35, 35, and 35. (Yeah, triplets -two girls & a boy). We’ve got 4 grand-kids age 9,8,7,7 (yeah, twins). We lived in St Cloud MN area until 2006, moved to the Twin Cities, until last year, when we came back to central MN, near the kids & grand-kids.
I’ve got some family in Nebraska, & some were in SD for a while, so occasionally we travel thru Sioux Falls. (I’m oldest of 8 siblings, who live in 7 different states, so lots of places to visit.) Mary & I were really getting into traveling, until 2020 happened. Looking to start doing that again.
