I am married to Jerry Stone. We have three sons, Adam, Nic and Jake. Adam and Nic have given us two wonderful granddaughters. I am blessed that all three of the boys continue to live in California.
I have lived in California for the last 35 years. I worked as a Court Reporter for the Federal Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. After burning out on that I went to work for the University of California, San Francisco before transferring to the University of California, Berkeley. I worked there for 15 years. Both Jerry and I were fortunate to retire in 2009 from UC Berkeley to become part of the "Village" that was formed to help with babysitting of our 1st granddaughter who was born in 2009. Enjoyed every moment of watching her and certainly miss it. She's starting 7th grade this year. YIKES. Our 2nd granddaughter lives in SoCal so not able to see her as much as we would like. But still have a strong bond.
We moved out of the Bay Area once our youngest went off to college. We found a place up in the Sierra Foothills and haven't looked back. We purchased a few horse properties that were in need of renovation to keep ourselves active. Probably the hardest I have ever worked physically in my life during this time but loved every minute of it. I fell in love with Off Track Thoroughbreds and enjoyed their company for many years out here. I am down to just one horse now and that seems about right for me.
Jerry and I are pretty much home bodies which also works well for us. I am still amazed that this is our 50th year reunion. I will not be coming back for the event, but it sounds as though there has been some great planning put into this. Hats off to the Planning Committee!
Take care Class of 1971!
