After obtaining degrees in math, French, and education, I went to law school where I met Don Srstka (O'G 1967). We married, practiced law for 35 years in Sioux Falls, and had three children.
Tragically and unbelievably, Don died of cancer in 2015, only about seven months after his diagnosis. I will never get over the sadness of losing Don. I carried on our law practice to the current day. I've been a special assistant attorney general for almost twenty years now, as part of my private practice. I also did a stint as an assistant professor at Augie, teaching business law. In 1979, during my senior year of law school, I made the best decision of my life and became a born-again Christian, committing my life wholly to Jesus.
I look forward to retiring and hopefully doing more traveling, gardening, biking, catching up on all my needlecraft projects, and, most importantly, spending time with my three sweet grandchildren.
