My husband Jeff Bird started Hope Academy, a private Christian school in the inner-city of Minneapolis 22 years ago where I have been involved in several capacities.

Four years ago he started another school for inner- city boys called Hope Farm School near Stockholm WI. So I am now part farmer part teacher working with Jr and Sr High boys both in the classroom as well as all the gardens, chickens, animals, canning, etc.

It’s keeping me young….and exhausted!! I always wanted to marry a farmer. Ha!
