Watermelon Esters | Woodcut | 12×15 inches
Artist's note
My art work on Gaza children is a reflection of the resilience and strength of these young individuals, who have endured unimaginable hardships and trauma. Through my print, I aim to shed light on their experiences and bring awareness to the plight of children living in conflict zones.
Watermelon is shown in this picture as a symbol of the Palestinian flag, which shows the urge for freedom and a peaceful life.
I use the woodcut medium to convey the emotions and struggles of these children, highlighting their courage and determination to survive and thrive despite the challenges they face. My art serves as a tribute to their resilience and a call to action to support and protect the most vulnerable members of our global community.
Through my art, I hope to inspire empathy, compassion, and solidarity with Gaza children and spark conversations about the impact of war and conflict on innocent lives.
