A little about me: I have been an educator for over 35 years, in public and private schools: teaching preschool, middle school math, kindergarten and third grade, up until the last few years where I was an Intervention Reading Specialist. I have also volunteered for 20 of those years teaching the faith to the young at my church. All positions have allowed me to experience the joy of a child's desire to learn. Now, I am happy to learn all about the homeschooling community, where parents truly care about the learning of their precious children.
My husband and I met in high school, have been married for 31 years, and have enjoyed raising our family in Diamond Bar. Both of my daughters were married (within six months of each other!) in the last year and a half, and my son is away at college in Florida. We became grandparents a few months ago and we are enjoying watching little Madelyn grow. Grandma can't wait to read her all the books she has accumulated over the years! It's such fun to watch her grow.
I am so glad I learned about the first grade position at Branches this year, and I am humbled to have the sweetest classes with the best parents. I look forward to experiencing and discovering along with my students.
