TERM 3
Implementing the new Lower Secondary Science curriculum makes it crucial to align and refine the existing teaching practices to enhance students' learning experiences.
Using authentic learning as a backdrop and blended learning as a lesson approach, lessons incorporating the Ways of Thinking and Doing in Science (WOTD) relating to Science, Technology, Society & Environment (STSE) are carried out.
The authentic context in the lesson activities helped connect students to real-life scenarios, encourage the development of higher-order thinking skills, and gain a deeper appreciation and positive attitude towards Science.

TERM 1
This workshop uses Padlet to integrate the learning resources, assessment protocols and e-pedagogy in the Science curriculum. Participants will explore learning experiences that encourage self monitoring, self reflection and self evaluation for effective learning. Facilitators will share an instructional approach that foregrounds technology-enabled assessment and metacognition (TEAM) whereby students’ application of concepts is explicitly presented for teacher intervention. This instructional approach develops new media literacy skills in students through the curate-connect-create tasks. Facilitators will also share the lesson plans and resources in designing such learning experiences to enhance the students' applied learning of science concepts.
