For teachers teaching Physical Education (PE) at the primary school level, it is important to explore ways to promote active learning experiences for the students. The SLS Pedagogical Scaffold is a design tool to guide teachers through a design process that brings about active learning with technology infused in the lessons. Such lessons can empower students to be self-directed and confident learners and engage them in independent and collaborative learning. Participants will take away ideas on how they could adapt the design tool and infuse technology and e-pedagogy into their PE lessons.

In this workshop, participants will get an insight into how digital collaborative learning tools (such as LUMIO and plickers) can be used to teach net barrier concepts. The facilitator will also share how these technology-mediated lessons can foster self-directed and collaborative learning in students through active engagement and the collection of students’ learning data for lesson assessment and refinement.
