TERM 1
Game-based learning allows learners to acquire and construct knowledge in a fun and focussed learning environment. In particular, educational board and card games can support the curriculum by allowing students to:
1. make connections between various Biology topics;
2. engage in collaborative learning and creative thinking through play; and
3. master specific learning objectives.
In this workshop, participants will learn how a commercial board game (Evolution) can be used in the Science classroom for teaching. Participants will also learn how students can be tasked to design a game based on a biology topic, and the benefits this has on student learning.
Date: 20 April 2023 (Thu)
