TERM 3
Through this workshop, the facilitator will share experiences of how students have been transformed into critical thinkers through peer editing and giving feedback. Students were able to reflect on the given questions and apply rubrics to mark their peers’ work. Over time, the feedback they provided showed enhanced judgment in being able to detect errors and provide suggestions for improvement. Peer editing, marking, and valuing of an answer engendered greater support for peers in the classroom too. Teachers would be able to see the benefits of collaborative work through this process.

TERM 2
Geography teachers are increasingly incorporating Virtual Reality (VR) and immersive technologies in geographical inquiry (GI). As part of the movement towards more student-centric teaching and learning with the GI process, this workshop will share the GI design principles which incorporate e-Pedagogy, and on how to use ICT tools that empower students to create and demonstrate their learning through the 360 data and 3D modelling software. Participants will engage in hands-on learning activities and learn about the use of ICT tools which can be purposefully adopted at different stages of the GI process to help students grasp the big ideas in a sustainability-themed GI topic, and become more self-directed and creative.
