This workshop will discuss the effectiveness of using Personal Learning Devices (PLD) to engage students in their learning of Netball. The introduction of Personalised Digital Learning Programmes in schools allowed teachers to ride on the wave of technological affordances and explore more extensive use of PLD in the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning. Participants will be exposed to how e-Pedagogy (SLS & Google Slides) was infused into the Physical Education lessons to allow students to be self-directed and learn at their own pace.

Students were segregated based on a dribbling pre-assessment test. They were then assigned ability-based practice tasks as a scaffold to enable them to climb up the ability ladder. The focus of this project in the basketball module was on using space to invade and creating space to invade. Tasks were designed to improve the students' dribbling skills by pitching the lessons at developmentally appropriate levels and ensuring that every student’s interest in the module was sustained, which led to inclusiveness.

TERM 2
For a Physical Education teacher in a secondary school, the availability of technological affordances has increased the opportunities for students to be more self-directed and assessment-capable learners. Inspired by John Hattie and Timberley's 3 major feedback questions (Feed up, Feedback, Feedforward), this workshop aims to share the digital routines to promote self-directedness and the use of checklists accompanied by video demonstrations and recordings put up in the Google Classroom to empower students in their understanding and demonstration of the lesson objectives and skills taught. Technological affordance provides the opportunities to feed students up by providing model examples and to also feed students forward through the inputs given by their teachers, peers, and through self-assessment.
