The proto-northern wayfarers were the first people to discover Audhyll, Siana, and Civiel by traveling past the Isahaian coast. It is believed they originated from either the Kaita people or the Kinu people.
Their way of life was defined by the sea, navigating the coastal waters of northern Isahai and beyond. It is believed they were trading folk, traveling to new areas to find goods and returning to trade with landfolk. Around 1774 A.G, a large group split off and navigated westward upon reaching Audhyll, discovering the Sianic island, and later, the Kessixian continent, which they proclaimed was a "land of snow and wood". The first city was founded in a river delta near what is now Whitewatch.
In Hylden, the traders who stayed on the continent used their skill with boat-making to sail inward to the mountains, some members splitting off upon the discovery of Rikell Wyverns in Dyarsvot. Carvings of ancient boats can be seen near coastlines on standing stones on the Audhyllic Peninsula.
In Kessix, those that stayed on the continent navigated inward via the Glass River, discovering the extensive landmass northward.
