Story: When asked about his past, Zakrion smiles calmly at you and says that he was a son of a ship captain.  He fondly relays a time where he would stand atop the ship and smell the salty, sea breeze. He falls silent for a moment but neither his eyes nor his voice betrays him as he blatantly speaks of his father's ship being taken by pirates. Ever since then, he was named the next captain for the survivors of the invasion until his own ship wreckage where he lost his entire crew and left him as the sole survivor.

Friendship: Pentos La'Viere

• Zakrion woke up after a near death experience from his ship crash. Someone had nourished back to life and that someone was none other than Pentos La'Viere. It didn't take long for the two to form an unbreakable bond of friendship and when Zakrion was fully nourished and back on his feet, he asked Pentos to be his first made for when he got his new ship. Pentos accepted without hesitation and much thought and when Zakrion was able to obtain his ship, they sailed for a few years together. Those years were the golden years and there was nothing in the world Zakrion couldn't do with Pentos.

Friendship: Roe Pumperknickle

• Zakrion never expected that raiding a random ship would cause him to form a bond with a little halfling, but then again, no one ever expects the unexpected. He was sent to go and scout the ship and come back to report his findings. The pirates followed his directions and soon, the opposing ship was seized and nearly everyone was killed, except one.

• Apparently, there was someone on the ship causing so much ruckus, that absolutely no one wanted to be around the person - this person turned out to be Roe. She's practically screech so loudly and piercingly loudly, like it was on another frequency level, that no one would bother going near her despite her being tied up. Zak was sent to do the dirty work but he has always had a soft spot for halflings, mainly because they bake his all-time favorite bread that you can't get anywhere else. 

• Zak was able to calm Roe down but Roe is a chatterbox, so Zak found himself deep into conversation with her and realized that he couldn't kill her. however, he needed to prove to the others that she was dead and so they conjured up a plan for her to shriek and act like she was dying (which she had way too much fun doing) and he had to cut off Roe's braid to present to the rest of the pirates. this worked and seeing as how small Roe was, it wasn't hard for her to hide behind barrels and what-not during her time aboard the pirate ship until they docked and she was able to leave. 

• It seemed like Zak was one of the few people that could tolerate Roe's endless conversations and the weirdest thing of all? Eventually, Roe became Zak's first mate on his pirate ship and who knows where she could be at the moment or whose ear she's talking off. All we know is that till this day, they still sail happily together.
