Story: Bevan Graveniette is the eldest child of three, and the oldest living survivor in his immediate family. His mother died in child birth after giving birth to a still-born and his father, consumed with his grief, committed suicide shortly after. This left eight year old Bevan the sole provider for his family, and providing for his family is what he did for the next five years of his life.
One day, an old couple happened upon him asking anyone to hire him in the streets, so they took pity on him and handed him a few coins - enough for him to feed his family for a day or two, but Bevan insisted on doing them a favor - anything to show his appreciation. The couple was shocked by his dedication and insistence and finally let him tend to their farm for a day. They realized that the boy was very handy, kind, and intelligent, so they offered him and his siblings a place to stay in exchange for work on the farm. Bevan gladly took their offer and soon enough, the old couple adopted him and his siblings into their family. Bevan wanted a new beginning and asked his adopted parents for a new name, in which they gave him the name Bevan - the name of their deceased son who was once a soldier and the pride of their lives. And from that day forward, Bevan has proudly pronounced himself a Graveniette - the last name of the couple, so that their names could live on in him.
As he grew into his early adult years, the couple understood that as a grown adult, he would have an urge to venture out into the world and one day, they sat him down, gave him enough provisions for a two weeks and tearfully said goodbye to him. Bevan was reluctant to leave his family, but he promised to visit them once a month and always bring back gifts to his younger siblings.

Love Interest: Aroaphite - "I will always find my way back to you."
Bevan was and is a cheerful man. He was always optimistic but sarcasm was his best friend at times. One day, he was whistling to himself when he heard the most beautiful voice in his life. Instantly intrigued, he followed the sound until he came across a large body of water. It seemed the owner of the voice was a gorgeous woman. However, instead of going to her, he sat near the shores and only listened to her melodies. He began to visit the woman, who he came to know as Aroaphite, often, just to listen to her sing and talk to her.
He didn't fall in-love with her for practicality reasons and it took him a number of years to reason with himself. During this time, he dated many girls but he couldn't hold a serious relationship with anyone of them because at the end of the day, he was thinking of Aroaphite and his girlfriends were always jealous of her. Finally, he gave way to his heart and began a relationship with Aroaphite.
It didn't take long for him to fall in-love with her and it didn't take long for him to propose to her. He didn't care that she couldn't walk on land, he would always be there for her, He married her, build a small home near the waters, and had a family with Aroaphite. He never expressed this desire, but he deep in his heart, he wanted to share the world with his lady love.
There came a time when their children grew up and Bevan became restless to have Aroaphite join him on land. He asked her about a merchant that once flaunted an item that would make anyone be able to breathe on land, despite who or what they were, but this was so long ago. Despite this, Bevan went down a rabbit hole and it took decades, maybe even centuries, to find this item, but eventually, he did.
