Story: Nihailus was always a strange man, even when he was a child. He preferred to dissect small animals while the other boys loved to get rough and tumble. When he was a teenager, the other boys grew up to be strong and masculine, while he was tall and hovering above most of them, but he was also quite pale and lanky. The boys made it their daily activities to bully Nihailus and at first, nothing happened to them. In fact, Nihailus would always come back home bloodied and battered, but he would always retain his calm demeanor. However, one can only have so much patience and one day, all the boys that picked on Nihailus went missing. No one ever found them, or their bodies, but they all tried to pin the boys disappearance on Nihailus and because they associated him with the playing with dead animals when he was younger, they assumed he had killed them. So, they banished him from the city and he hasn't returned ever since. Most people assumed he was mauled by a bear or eaten by wolves because how could a strange, frail man like him survive alone in the wilderness?

Everyone always thought he was demented in some way, but they never thought that Nihalius would bargain with demons and revive the dead, and he did just that. Nihailus isn't a power hungry man nor does he have the desire to become a ruler of any kind, he simply wants to be left alone and to enjoy building his little undead play things. Most people who have heard of him would say that he's simply misunderstood, but so misunderstood that he consorts with demons and prefers the company of the undead - no, not company, but an army of undead? Either way, no one cares to disturb him in his tower. Why bother a man who has an undead army if he's alone in a tower far away from any formidable civilization? He nor his undead companions have disturbed anyone... yet, so why bother now?

Love Interest: Leavantha

• Despite being alone in the world with nothing but the undead to surround him, Nihailus craved the touch and feel of a woman. He desired more than just the norm, more than the regular wenches that frequent the taverns and prostitutes in the darker parts of the cities. He has read of beautiful women and nights one would never forget from story books and from old wives tales.
• One of the more recent stories that had circulated even when he was a child was the story of a fey'ri falling in-love with a monk. There were many stories of her great beauty and above all, the stories speak of her changed heart for the better - to which Nihailus thought of was a sign of weakness and a chance for him to manipulate her. However, there were twice as many stories of her disappearance after the demon attack on the monastery she resided in. Some say that she was killed during the attack, some others claim that she is brooding her time and will return vengeful... but then, there are a couple of rumors that she has been imprisoned below the depths of this world as her permanent punishment.
• Nihailus was always the one person to pursue the least likely outcome and so, when he learned of this, he sent his undead followers to retrieve a very rare and powerful scroll - a freedom scroll. However, this scroll proved to be difficult to obtain, so Nihailus himself went on search of this scroll. Apparently, it was not hard to find but the journey was extremely dangerous and it almost cost Nihailus his life.
• After the ordeals he had to go through to retrieve the scroll of freedom, he set his expectations incredibly high for Leavantha. He knew she was very dangerous, so he took extra precautions to protect himself against her. She would behave herself and follow his every whim and desire. Freeing her was possibly one of the best moments of his life, but perhaps it was the stupidest decision of his life. Upon seeing her, she invoked every fiber of his being and Leavantha was more than willing to reward him with many, many "favors".
• She was better than anything he had before and he found himself unable to leave her side. Soon enough, Leavantha had him exactly where she wanted him - he was completely and utterly enthralled with her, or perhaps it was just the undeniable physical attraction he had for her.
