She does not know how she survived the ordeal, but she vaguely remembers people huddling around her and nurturing her back to health with strange medicine. As a Bhaalspawn:
BGI: Faylwen always felt restricted in the great walls of Candlekeep. There were times where she would sneak around late at night and climb atop the walls to peer out at the wilderness around - she knew home when she saw it. When reading about civilizations, Faylwen was always saddened by the destruction of great forests that had given way to these cities. Where was the glory for nature, why was it never mentioned? These thoughts quickly grew to hatred and through this hatred, she endured countless rituals and intense training to "maximize" her full potential as a druid. Her reckless actions almost killed her but she was ultimately saved by a passing paladin, but the damage had been done. Her appearance had drastically changed, the rituals and training left her physically weakened her and almost blind. The aftermath left her saddened, ashamed, and above all, confused - because, a paladin, someone who has devoted their life to the very thing she abhorred, saved her without any hesitation. However, it was not long after her recovery, when Gorion surprisingly called for Faylwen to leave. The events that transpired her leave of Candlekeep led her to a daily struggle of survival, many gruesome battles, and most unexpectedly, the love of her life who later became her fiance. Her final party consisted of Garrick, Imoen, Ajantis, Xan, and Kivan.
BGII: Faylwen was no stranger to pain and torture, and why not add on more scars to her already scarred body? In truth, she was extremely relieved to know that her betrothed was not captured and she passed her days in Irenicus' dungeon pondering her decisions and previous actions - wondering if she could ever be equipped to face the real world again. The events following her escape of the dungeon, the reunion with her betrothed, as well as their eventual marriage, and then rescuing Imoen, Faylwen finally came to the realization that there was nothing stronger than her determination to see things through to the end and the love she had for her knight. Her final party against Jon Irenicus consisted of Ajantis, Jan, Imoen, Anomen, and Mazzy.
Love Interest: Sir Ajantis Ilvastarr - "Life is everything in between."
BGI - Upon meeting Ajantis Ilvastarr, she harbored an immediate respect and towards him. For how could she not respect, or even admire, a person of virtue who had saved her from her near death experience? However, Faylwen struggled to see Ajantis' self righteous view of the world. Could everything be so black and white as it so easily seemed to him? Instead of arguing with him, Faylwen chose to listen. She listened carefully and lingered on his every word, instead of believing his views on the world to be ignorant, she learned that this was something to be admired about the man. Her admiration grew as she journeyed with him...and so did her feelings. She was never blatant with her attraction towards him, and in the back of her mind, something that was once seemed so insignificant started to weigh upon her. The results of her rituals and training had left nearly blind, and she was sure that it had affected other parts of her too, particularly, her face. Was she beautiful? Could she be a true lady for a knight? Was it possible that she could no longer be deemed as desirable? However, all of her worries slowly started to fade when she received a kiss from the young squire confirming their love for each other. It was not long after that the two became engaged.
BGII - Enduring Irenicus' dungeon only strengthened her desire to see Ajantis and what had become of him. After she and Imoen took the opportunity to flee from his dungeon, Faylwen immediately traveled to the headquarters of The Order of the Most Radiant Heart. After learning that her beloved was in Windspear Hills, she quickly set out with Anomen Delryn and Jan Jansen to see her lover's face once again. Almost immediately, however, she was attacked by a group of monsters - that had a strange aura around them - and unbeknownst to her, she had slain Ajantis and his fellow knights. Mad with fury, Faylwen stormed the keep and confronted Firkaag. After a series of confusing and painstaking events, Faylwen was finally reunited and married to Ajantis.
Epilogue - Much had changed since the events of Saradush and the Sword Coast, specifically the once black and white views of the vigilant knight. And after turning down godhood, Faylwen and Ajantis finally had the quiet time they always wanted - they could finally choose how to spend their time and who to fight. It was not long afterwards that the couple settled down and started a family of their own like they always wanted to have. Even though Ajantis was able to reconnect with his parents through his sister, he never took up the name Ilvastarr and felt truly blessed and happy to have a family of his own. Faylwen and Ajantis were blessed by Helm with three sons and a daughter, the pride and joy of their lives. In regards to the future of their children , the eldest child, their daughter, Reyna, followed closely to the teachings of Helm and eventually joined the ranks of The Order of the Most Radiant Heart. Their son Fentan, the second eldest, chose to become a priest of Helm. Their third child, Mathias, became a ranger of the wilds and much to his parents' surprise, their youngest child, Alexander, took up his grandparents' usual family dealings, he became a traveling merchant and frequently visited his extended family in Waterdeep.
