Story: Growing up, Elaine knew she was special, although her wings mostly contributed to that perspective on herself. There was no one like her, and everyone where she went, she was gawked at. Finally, tired of not knowing why she was so special, she took a blanket and a candle and headed towards the nearest library she could find. She spent many sleepless nights, combing through all the texts to figure out who she was and why she had wings, until she came across a tome that explained she was an avariel, or a race of winged-elves. However, there was one thing that stood out to her. An avariel could fly, but she couldn't. Of course, she could make great leaps into the air, but never could she truly fly. It wasn't until many more days and nights in the library did she come across the idea that she could be half winged-elf.
It wasn't until then did she fully realize she wanted to be fully accepted within the avariels, but how would they accept her? Knowing that she was only half winged-elf? The avariels were extremely secluded and racist, and it had been a wonder how Elaine could have been conceived. However, she did not linger on those thoughts for long and soon began to continuously train harder and harder in the hopes that one day, she would gather numerous accolades to present to the avariels in the hopes that they would take her under their wings.

As a Bhaalspawn:
BGI: Believing herself to be more superior than anyone she could possibly obtain in her party (and the fear that other party members might turn on her), she went through Baldur's Gate alone. In then end, she triumphed against all odds, and single-handedly destroyed Sarevok.
BGII: Her final party consisted of Sir Neh'Taniel, Aerie, Imoen, Keldorn, and Sarevok.
Love Interest: Sir Neh'Taniel - "For you? Anything."
BGI - Who has time for love when everything you're experiencing is so new? Besides, none of these eligible bachelors can be deemed worthy of her, I mean, can she really fall in love with an all "gloom and doom" elf, a wanna be paladin who can't even express his feelings correctly to the girl he is supposedly courting, or a whore of a man? (At least, that is what she thinks of the men...) Perhaps an older, more mature man would be the one for her? Just kidding, Elaine needed no one.
BGII - Love is something pleasurable, something for people with spare time on their hands...which Elaine clearly does not have the time for. However, sometimes love is thrust upon someone unwillingly and unexpectedly. While traveling through the sewers to eliminate a cult that worshipped a beholder, she stumbled upon a wraith named Sir Neh'Taniel. Her fascination with the Judicial Knight and his ancient ways became more than just intriguing to her, and she soon found herself longing for his touch. There was a moment in their lives when Elaine, overwhelmed with her impending duties, silently cried when no one was looking - or at least she thought no one was. Neh'Taniel, in his ethereal form, was unnoticed by Elaine and he placed his hand under her chin...only to have it pass through her. What life could they truly have together, knowing that neither would ever be able to embrace each other? This did not stop their blossoming relationship from becoming even more, but as their love grew for each other so did they anguish and longing for the other. It was only during the search for the source of Yaga-Shura's immortality, that their wishes had been granted. Neh'Taniel was offered a choice, to be finally released from the mortal realm and have his spirit at rest or, dwell upon the realms once again...in flesh. As much as Neh'Taniel desired release, he desired the love of his life even more, so the choice for him was obvious.
Epilogue: Elaine, who had once believed that she was meant to be a force of good to be reckoned with, thought she would take over the Throne of Bhaal and right all of his wrongs. It was not until much later that she sought ascension so she could also release her wraith love from the mortal world. However, when Neh'Taniel was returned to his body, Elaine realized that he had given up the rest he so desperately desired for her - his sacrifice was duly noted. They say when the solar asked Elaine if she would rise upon the ranks of the gods as a force of good, Elaine turned the offer down in the most pompous manner possible and tackled and showered Sir Neh'Taniel with hundreds of kisses, a most un-Elaine-like action.
They traveled for a while, and in every city and town they stopped in, they were hailed as heroes but they never stayed very long. Finally, they reached the city of Halagard and sought out a priest to marry them. It did not take them very long to fall in love with the city and decide to settle there, and it was a good thing they did for unbeknownst to the couple, Elaine was pregnant with their son. The couple ended up having two more children - two more sons - and if anyone ever asked about the couple, they would simply say that Elaine and Neh'Taniel were very happy.
