Story: Orphaned at a young age, Minyae found herself in a forest, stealing and scavenging for food and other necessities from nearby merchant caravans. Not surprisingly, her survivalist attitude or "survival of the fittest" thinking earns her the alignment of Neutral Evil. But can you really condemn her for the actions she has committed to survive? As she grew older, she discovered she had the gift of magic. Using this new found knowledge, she used this skill to enchant her victims into giving her almost anything her dark heart could ever desire.

  • BGI: Minyae loathed to leave Candlekeep, because of the plethora of knowledge found behind its walls. The death of Gorion at first, did not seem to affect Minyae, but one could tell that she was agitated and worried about Gorion's murderer, because if Gorion could be killed - how would she survive? She understood the importance of some of Gorion's words - find Khalid and Jaheira, and she eventually found herself at the Friendly Arm Inn, with her annoying but intelligent childhood friend, Imoen. Her final party against Sarevok consisted of Khalid, Jaheira, Eldoth, Shar-Teel, and Edwin.

  • BGII: Having escaped Irenicus' dungeon, Minyae's primary concern was to find Irenicus and to force the mage to tell her what he knew of her powers. Of course, Imoen was on her mind, but she could not fathom losing the knowledge that could be gained by imprisoning and heckling Irenicus. In order to catch Irenicus, Minyae sided with the Shadow Thieves of Amn. One of her favorite past times seemed to be bickering with her party members and reveling in their differences the entirety of her travels in Amn, the Underdark, the Sahuagin City, and the beautiful elven city Suldanessellar. Her final party consisted of Jaheira, Edwin, Haer'Dalis, Korgan, and Anomen. Some say she even found love in the arms of a Red Wizard and through this love, her views on the world around her changed for the better.

  • BGII-ToB: Against her better judgement, Minyae Beaurin chose to remain a mortal. How else was she supposed to learn the mysteries and wonders of love?

• BGI: This was a time of great turmoil and focus for Minyae, while she occasionally flirted with many men, she desired no one at the time.

• BGII: Minyae never believed in knights and fairy tales, all the company she desired were books. She endured the courtship of Anomen Delryn solely for amusement and built up his confidence, only to tear it down with a gleeful smile. Ultimately, she found herself matching wits with the Red Wizard, Edwin Odesseiron, and began a tumultuous relationship with him. Neither seemed to be able to come to an agreement about anything, but ironically, they realized that they had many things in common during their heated arguments. There were many times when Minyae would sneak away from the camp for a nightly stroll under the moon and eventually, she was accompanied by the Red Wizard on these strolls, but at the time, he stated that he only did so to make sure the object of power could not be ambushed and that she needed the brains of an intellectual in case of any random or dangerous occurrence. It was under the moon when Minyae felt the most vulnerable and this is when she opened up to Edwin. Eventually, Edwin admitted his true purpose for following Minyae on her nightly strolls and she did not take his advances lightly. It took Minyae a considerably long time to recognize her feelings for Edwin and to not see love as a weakness, in fact, their love for each other changed their outlook on the world around them.
