Story: In another world and in another reality, Aldwin is the sole survivor of the Beaurin legacy. Son of the infamous Minyae Beaurin and Edwin Odesseiron, Aldwin should have had it all. However, when his mother carried him in her womb in secrecy, she fled from his father - causing Edwin to lose control of Thay. Edwin blamed Minyae for the loss of the control and instead of seeking vengeance of the Red Wizards of Thay, which he would in due time, he sought vengeance on his former lover.

Minyae gave birth to Aldwin near the forests of Velen and raised him on her own for approximately six years, when Edwin found the duo. Only a small boy then, Aldwin watched in the trees as a terrible battle was fought between his parents. He saw his mother being struck down by a bolt of lightning by Edwin and as his father was about to strike the killing blow, Aldwin ran to his mother. Edwin's strike instantly killed the boy and did not realize the gravity of his actions until he saw Minyae weep and cradle the lifeless body in her arms. He left Minyae her life and disappeared for a few years before re-emerging and challenging the most powerful and famous wizard, Elminster.

Aldwin, by all accounts, was considered dead. However, Minyae never took that as his true state of being and was driven to madness, trying to find her dead son a cure to death. Using what she had learned from her years of study of magic and lichdom, she underwent a unpredictable, perilous resurrection spell that to bring her son back into the world of living...but at what cost? Minyae traded her soul and gave the rest of her years to a life of a servitude to the demons and devils of Hell. In return, Aldwin would be brought to life, and she would be allowed fifteen years to take care of her son. For fifteen years, Minyae attempted to teach her son everything she knew and had learned from her experiences; when the fifteen years had expired, Minyae vanished.

Many of Minyae's mantras stuck with Aldwin, but not as much as the notion of "survival of the fittest". During the day, he would study old scrolls and practice weaving magic. At night, he honed in on his physical training. By the age of 28, Aldwin was a force to be reckoned with. However, his heart was filled with deep hatred to the person who had caused the loss of his beloved mother - his father. But by that time, Edwin Odesseiron was no more, thanks to his challenge with Elminster, and Aldwin wanted nothing more than to his free mother from the depths of Hell.

He found himself at the City of Doors and traveled through many planes, gathering worldly information from each plane. Until finally, he came upon the solution to all of his problems. In order to achieve the solution, Aldwin had to find the door that would lead to another dimension - another reality in which Minyae existed and he had not. In doing so, he discovered his bloodline - he found his sister, Aliyah. What this means for Aliyah and her twins is currently unknown.
