Story: Originally from the tribal communities of Chult, Dalmond become a follower of Ilmater when the Broken God carried Dalmond's sufferings and burdens on his back - at least, that's what Dalmond thought. He never speaks about his past but anyone of his closest friends could tell that he suffered a tremendous loss internally. He hardened himself to the world and carried the pain of others onto his back, but he was never like the other monks. He was gregarious, cheerful, and optimistic about everything and anything, even when others were at the end of their rope. He always managed to bring others back onto their feet, but each time he did so, it seemed like a piece of his physical health left him. He never seemed to care though; he was doing what he loved most - helping others and suffering for them.

Love Interest: Leavantha

• During on one of his excursions to a nearby town, Dalmond stumbled upon a broken, raggedy, and unconscious woman. Immediately, his heart went out to her and he carried her back to his monastery. He nurtured the woman until some of her health returned. When the woman finally woke, he was startled to see her almost auburn eyes... for a moment, he thought they glowed with a heinous intentions behind them. He sensed that something was off about this woman, but he couldn't pinpoint what it was.

• He watched her closely as she returned to full health, and he questioned her every move. However, the woman - Leavantha - did nothing suspicious. She was calm, observant, and surprisingly kind. His suspicions of her eventually turned into infatuation and when one night as he thought of her, it almost seemed like she knew and she appeared before him. She tried to seduce him but Dalmond resisted, this infuriated Leavantha and her eyes glowed and horns glimmered in and out of appearance.

• Dalmond didn't react though. He could feel the evil radiating from her, but he had also seen her kindness. He did nothing and instead, embraced her and told her that he would her to see the goodness in the world. Leavantha's secret became Dalmond's secret as well.

• Once again, Dalmond found himself watching Leavantha warily. If anything happened to his colleagues or the town, he would be responsible for it all. He carried this burden alone and never shared this with anyone as he truly believed that Leavantha deserved a chance, and she never strayed far from him. It may have been because he was always following her, or perhaps, she actually enjoyed his company. The latter turned out to be true as the two were found in each other's arms in a secluded gazebo.

• However, nothing good ever lasts and this is especially true for those who follow the Broken God. Word had gotten out that a fey'ri was among one of the monks at the monastery and he was shocked to hear that anyone knew about Leavantha's secrets. On that same day, the evening sky turned blood red and black as swarms of demons invaded the monastery and the nearby town.

• Dalmond helped Leavantha escape through a hidden tunnel in the monastery, and he could've escaped with Leavantha that day. Leavantha pleaded with him to run away with her down in the tunnels, but in the end, Dalmond refused and joined the rest of his comrades in battle. He and all of his brothers and sisters had fallen by morning.
