Skin Check Procedures:
Are conducted by referees just before or just after stepping on the weighin scale
Bring medical forms signed by physicians to show treatment of skin infections
Nails must be trimmed before
No jewelry or ear rings
Socks are optional
Uniforms are worn with straps covering the shoulders
Weigh-in Key Points:
Wear uniforms, socks, and undergarments on weigh-in scale just as you would wrestle on the mat
No ear rings or jewelry.
Wear legal uniform and undergarment that completely covers buttocks and groin area.
Contestants shall not weigh-in wearing shoes or ear guards.
Don't wear any shoes or extra clothing other than the uniform when near or on the scale.
Contestants may wear socks on scale that cannot be removed if the wrestlers do not make weight.
Female contestants shall wear suitable form-fitted compression undergarment that completely covers their breasts.
Female contestants shall wear sports bra at time of weigh-in on scale.
Note: No contestant may leave the weigh-in scale area to a separate area to add or remove clothing.
Note: No additional weight allowance shall be granted for weighing-in wearing a legal uniform.
Post Season Weight Class Qualifications
Qualification rule for post season weight classes
Athlete must weighin at least once at their desired weight class, and actually wrestle at that weight or the one above that same day in order to wrestle in the "weighin" weight-class.
