Thu-Fri, December 20-21, 2024:  King of the Rock

• 32-man bracket on 6 mats.

• Top 6 placers receive medals.

• Extra wrestler opportunities revealed on 20-Dec.

• Admission: $10.00 a day

• Check scales: Scales open at 7:30 a.m. for weight check

• Weigh-ins begin at 8:30 a.m. Both days.

• Coach Meeting: 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Start Time: 10:00 a.m. Both Days

• All teams need to enter through the front of the school.  They will then set up in the cafeteria where each team will have a table for bags and coolers. NO BAGS or COOLERS in the main gym.  They must all be in the cafeteria at all times.  

• Bout board in the cafeteria, so wrestlers know when to get into the main gym.

Saturday, December 28, 2024:  Battle at the Bridge

• Girls Schedule:

  • 8:15 AM-Weigh Ins- Scratch +1 immediately following varsity weigh ins

  • 9:30 AM- Wrestling begins- we will run straight through a double elimination tournament- 16 wrestler brackets for most weights. Wrestle backs to 5/6. Losers of semi-finals wrestle for 3/4. (6 mats-aux gym). Championship Finals matches will be held in the main gym

• Weighins:  

  • Girls Weights: 100, 107, 114, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 165, 185, 235

  • Girls will weigh in by team on the second day. Weight allowance is scratch +1 for girl wrestlers.

• Payments:

  • $25 per competitor

  • $250 max for teams of 10+

  • *Can pay in person the day of the tournament if unsure on numbers*

• Bracket tournament:  double elimination (if you lose twice you are out)

• Seeding:  top 2 girls teams will receive a trophy and champions receive a special tournament gift.

Saturday, January 18, 2025:  Orange County Girls Only ~ TBD

• Attention Wrestling Coaches:  Orange County High School is proud to announce we will be hosting the Annual Girls Wrestling Tournament! High school coaches must be the ones that enter the wrestlers through “Trackwrestling”, not a parent. Wrestlers must be listed on their high school’s Master Eligibility List.

• Date:  January 18, 2025

• Location:  Orange County High School 201 Selma Rd Orange VA 22960

• Entry Deadline:  January 16, 2024 by 12 pm. Entry on trackwrestling

• Format:  Double elimination or round robin depending on number of entrants in weight class. This is a VHSL sanctioned women’s tournament. Each team will be allowed unlimited entries per team for each weight class.

• Entry Fee (paid by school):  1-9 wrestlers-$40 per entry. 10-14 wrestlers-$400 15-20 wrestlers-$450. Payments will be accepted at the tournament but must be paid in full before start time. Please submit payment to OCHS Athletics, memo: OCHS Girls wrestling.

• Weigh-ins:  All wrestlers will be weighed in during the weigh-in period of 7:30 am-8:00 am using the VHSL women’s weight classes of 100, 107, 114, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 165,185, 235.

• Schedule:  

  • Weight check 7:00 am – 7:30 am

  • Weigh ins 7:30 am – 8:00 am

  • Coaches meeting 8:00 am

  • Wrestling starts at 9 am and continues until conclusion

  • Breaks may be introduced in between rounds to accommodate the 45 min rule in between matches depending on bracket size.

• Concession:  Concessions will be available.

• Hospitality Room:  There will be a hospitality room for coaches, school officials, tournament officials only.

Saturday, January 13, 2024:  2nd Annual Ava Thomas Invitational ~ TBD

• Location:  North Stafford High School

• Address:  839 Garrisonville road, Stafford VA, 22554

• North Stafford is proud to announce that we will be hosting the 2nd annual Ava Thomas Girls Invitational. This event will be a girls invitational event that will place top three wrestlers in each weight class and top three teams. This is a VHSL sanctioned event and counts as one of the 12 dates for the Girls.Entries will be entered through “Trackwrestling” by their coaches, wrestlers must be listed on their school’s master eligibility list. Girls must be on an official weigh-in form.

• Girls weight class:  100,107,114,120,126,132.138,145,152,165,185,235

• Weigh-ins:  8:00 AM

• Start time:  Wrestling will begin at 9:30 AM

• Fees: $30 per wrestler and $200 for a team entry. Checks can be made out to North Stafford High School (Wrestling).
