Practice Days
Arrive to the Lightridge wrestling room 10-15 minutes early so to start on time.
Competition Days
Arrive to the Lightridge wrestling room 15-30 minutes early so to get weighed and prepare for departure on time.
Wrestling Room Rules for Parents, Wrestlers, and Coaches
No wrestlers in the locker rooms during practices - use restrooms just outside the wrestling room and weight room.
No parents in locker rooms.
No street shoes or street shoes on wrestling mats.
Wrestlers/staff help coaches wash/wipe mats with standard disinfectant liquids and mops to prevent spread of skin infections.
No cursing and no foul language.
No bullying or hazing.
Respect the equipment and facilities so take steps to prevent damage to mats, facilities, doors, lockers, weights, etc.
Respect high school coaches and administrator rules, inquiries, and directions.
Pick up all trash even if it is not yours so high school administrators remain happy.
No food in the wrestling room or weight lifting room.
No energy drinks, candy, soda, or junk food.
Rules for Coaches
Attempt to lock wrestling rooms after practices are finished.
Don't leave wrestlers alone especially at night outside buildings awaiting for rides.
Ensure parents/guardians have picked all kids up before leaving the facilities.
Make sure there is at least one adult coach present at any practice.
Rules for Parents
Arrive early to pick up kids from competition events.
Don't coach your kids from the sidelines.
Be encouraging and supportive.
Be your child's number one fan!
