Wash all clothes after practices and competitions; do not bring unwashed clothes to practice.

Competition Uniforms (the following items are required during competition matches):
Competition Uniform (Singlet or Compression Shirts/Shorts "Fight Gear")
Loaned from the school (athletes may only use school-issued singlet or fight gear)
Athletes are responsible for school loaned gear
Athletes may chose to wear a singlet or fight gear
Head gear (if they don't already own one)
Athletes may use school-issued headgear and responsible for returning it at the end of the season
Athletes may buy their own headgear (white, gray, black, or light blue) available online
No logos or lettering authorized other than that which came with the original purchase (e.g. CK or WrestleMart)
Don't add extra logos on the sides

Competition Uniforms (the following items are required during competition matches):
Head gear (unless the school loans it to you)
May be purchased by athletes (see the above statements)
Wrestling Shoes
Laces may be secured with medial tape wrapped around the ankle (otherwise point deductions during matches)
Suggest ASICS, however, others work such as Nike, Rudis, Adidas
Buy shoes with rubber on the sides
Solid rubber on entire bottom is unnecessary but okay
Consider ordering wide shoes

No higher than the lower part of the knee

Absolutely required to cover top and bottom braces
Lightridge also requires top teeth covered for those without braces to prevent teeth from chipping

Wrestlers would either get a singlet or fight gear in accordance with the size chart below.
Under Garments for Practices and Competitions
2023-24 NFHS Rules require All Wrestlers to wear suitable undergarments which completely covers the buttocks and groin areas under their uniforms that is tightly fitted and not extending below the knee.
Only the following colors are authorized:
White, Black, Gray, Light Blue, Carolina Blue
In other words, under garments should not be easily visible due to sharp contrast in colors.
Must be worn at time of weigh-in at the scale!

Wrestlers should carry a pair of needle nose pliers or a small metal screw driver to pry the white straps out for adjustments.
