• Open to K-12 athletes. K-8 will be Madison System. High school will be set weight classes (unless we need to combine)

• 6 mats all day (4 downstairs and 2 upstairs)

Adults $7.00 and Students $5.00, coaches free with USA Wrestling Leaders card

Wrestling starts at:

• 9:00 AM Saturday for youth ages

• 12:00 PM Saturday for High School Ages

Weigh-ins: 

• For ALL DIVISIONS will be from 6-8pm on Friday, September 5th.

• Last chance weigh ins for K-8 will be from 7am-8am on Saturday September 6th 

• Last chance weighins for High school will be from 10am-11am 

Age Divisions: Madison System will be used for everyone except High school!

• Ages: Grades K-2 (Born in 2018-2020)

• Grades 3-5 (Born in 2015-2017)

• Middle school (Born in 2011-2014)

• High School (106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, 157, 165, 175, 190, 215, 285)

• Ladies High School (100, 107, 114, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 165, 185, 235)

FORMAT: Round Robin/Pools - we are looking to get everyone at least 3-4 matches. 

• Madison system for K-8. 

• Separation criteria will be used to help facilitate good competition in later rounds for HS division. 

• We will cap entries at the first 250 entrants!

MATCH LENGTH: 

• K-5 (3) 1 min periods. 

• MS and HS will be (3) 1.5 minute periods - 

• All OTs will be 1 min Sudden Death, and 1 - :30 second ride or die.

BRACKETS: Madison System for K-8, VHSL weights for HS.

WRESTLING RULES: This is FOLKSTYLE will use NHFS Rules and Virginia Officials will be used.

UNIFORMS: One-piece singlet or a two-piece uniform are REQUIRED. Headgear optional and facial hair is ok.

ENTRY FEE: $30 (+plus online transactional fees for track) 

AWARDS: Medals for top three in each weight class.

• Johnny Curtis has a long history of training high level athletes who became state champions!

• Especially good for bigger athletes as there tends to be lots of partners.
