Matthew 11:19
Everyone is His Neighbor
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and “sinners.”’ But wisdom is proved right by her actions.”
Matthew 12:25
Jesus is Divine
25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
John 14:2-4
In God's House are Many Rooms
2 In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.
Luke 14:15-24
Jesus Invites Everyone
15 When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.”
16 Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17 At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’
18 “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’
19 “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’
20 “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’
21 “The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.’
22 “‘Sir,’ the servant said, ‘what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’
23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full. 24 I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”
Jesus socialized and talked to everyone...Where He traveled and who He spoke to, was not random or by chance...God's Plan was advanced by His Son setting out on an exact path...He talked to tax collectors...He spoke to fishermen...He talked to women...He spoke to Samaritans...He talked and taught large groups, but He also talked to the individual...When He spoke, He had a divine-charisma, that the individual or group wanted to hear (what He had to say)...He spoke to the blind, the sick, the poor, the rich, lepers, and everyone that He wanted to, because He is God...He did not leave anyone out in His travels...
Jesus did not particularly care (in a Divine Sense), what others thought of who who taught or spoke to...Because about our personal thoughts, He is Divine and knows our thoughts....In taking His paths and the one He took, He did not have a good reputation among the Pharisees and the Sanhedrin...Others who looked down on the groups He talked to were also probably upset with Him...Their society did not have teachers and rabbis talking to women and Samaritans...The Jews were hostile toward the Samaritan people...Women in His time, did not have much say in society...The women were held in a low status in the their society...And He even talks to a Samaritan woman at Jacob's well...Some might have thought it disgusting to talk not only to a Samaritan, but to a Samaritan woman...He wanted everyone to know about His Kingdom, and the Kingdom of His Father...All were His friends, for He loves everyone...He did not just talk to and teach those in His circle...In fact, He had no particular circle of friends, because He wants everyone to know of His Father's Kingdom...
If you had a party today, who would you invite?...Would you invite those outside of your interest and your circle of friends?...He knows our thoughts and He knows who we would invite or like to invite...
Jesus' Parable of the Feast, the fattened calf is prepared and ready...Everyone is invited...No one lacked an invitation, because in His Kingdom none are lacking -everyone is His neighbor...He tells us, the banquet time has come...Come one, come all...Rich, poor, healthy or unhealthy, friend or enemy, in prison or out of prison, the homed and the homeless -all are invited...His house has has many rooms...If this were not true, He would tell us...We do not have to be a certain way, or inside a circle to receive an invitation...His house is infinite and eternal in size...There are rooms waiting, and there is plenty of room...His Love awaits us...
