Genesis 1:1-31 (KJV)
In the Beginning
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
John 1:1-14
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 17:3
Now this is Eternal Life
3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
The non-believer believes that we and everything here is by random chance...The everything that exists started out of nothing...And when this random chance event took place it started an event then everything started happening...The earth and heavens came into being...But before this there was just nothing...And the first thing to become life like was self-replicating molecule-like bits, and these molecules were only on earth...So by the luck of the draw earth came into being, and was perfectly made for life to sustain itself, and all living creatures and plants and wildlife and the sun, the rain, the rainbows, moon, gravity...And then life came into existence on earth a million years later, after starting from these self replicating molecules...These self-replicating molecules eventually became different kinds of evolved life over these millions of years...Plants, horses, cows, fish, ostriches, dogs, trees, and all the living things of life...So out of this nothingness came this random chance event millions of years ago, for no reason, that started not only the earth, but also everything in the universe came into being, or at least started into being by these self-replicating molecules...And the sun, the moon, gravity, and these other things that also came into being out of nothing, helped all of life sustain itself for these millions of years...And many evolutionists theorize that life first came into being on earth in a place where it was warm and wet...And from this warmness and wetness plants, life, animals came into being from these self-replicating molecules and have continued to evolve and will be and look different in the next million years, as they continue to evolve and change and survive...
To the believer, he believes that there was a beginning...The universe does have a beginning.... And the heavens and earth were designed with a purpose, by a Great Designer...As a believer and follower of Jesus, I believe that in the beginning is explained by One Who LOVES us..."In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."...God spoke the heavens and earth into existence...And Jesus was there in the beginning and all things were made through Him, and were made with a Logos, that is a purpose and a reason was there from the very beginning...We have a purpose for being here on earth...And God with Jesus there saw that all that He created was good...God wanted and did make man in His image, and after the likeness of the heavenly ones...And God made man and woman dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth...So God created man in His own image, in the Image of God created He him; male and female created He them...And being in the Image of God, we are Spiritual Creatures...And God blessed man and woman, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth...And God told Adam and Eve, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat...And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so...And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good...But later in time we sinned and because of our sin we were separated from God...Because we were lost in sin, God would have His Son die for our sins on a cross...Because the One True God who created us is righteous and just...And this is why He sent His Son to dwell among us, to save us from our sins, and be our Savior...And this is the gospel, the Good News of Jesus...So if we place our trust in Jesus and believe in God and the One He sent, we can receive eternal life with Them...The gift of eternal life, is the most important decision we make on earth...For eternal life gives us a home, a place in heaven after our deaths...He watches over us, protects, us, and listens to us, and teaches us...God has forgiven our sins through His Son's death out of LOVE...
These are two interesting and amazing stories...And one has their choice and freewill to choose, which one you believe...One can believe in the warm wet non-purposeful random start, or one can believe in God...
