Jesus 14:1-7
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
Romans 3:21-26
Man Falls Short of God because of Our Sins
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Jesus tells us that there is a heaven and He went there to prepare a place for us...And then He tells us to believe in God, but also to believe in Him...So, if we believe Him then there are many in heaven -and they are the ones who followed Him...These are the ones who followed the religion of God and Him and the religion of Christianity...
But if one believes and would imagine that there was no heaven or hell or religion, then I might think they are a non-believer or an atheist...They certainly do not believe in Jesus...If one can imagine loving and sharing in a world without heaven or religion, then man would have taken a giant leap forward in loving, kindness, and selflessness, by themselves...The majesty of man, in my opinion, cannot make this leap (of loving, being kind, being completely unselfish) by themselves...
The non-believer who would want to eliminate all religions might believe that the world would be a more sharing and caring place without greed or hunger and be a brotherhood of man is quite an interesting idea, but would it really be that way...Would there be more love in the world without heaven?...There are great many today that do not believe in religion or Jesus, and are they loving, caring, and sharing?...How does their world and worldview look?...Man is man, he has to change or have a Great Reason to change for the world to be a better place...The atheist's heaven is one with nobody there...The atheist' heaven is a useless heaven, if there are no participants...
It is true that the followers of Jesus have not lived up to His standards, but at least they know His teachings and His ways...We just fall very short of His Glory...God gave us His Son as a sacrifice for the way the world is, through His death on the cross -for those who have faith in Him...And His Ways are the Way to God, the Way to Heaven, they are the Way to a world who wants to share, a Way to a world who wants to love all existing life...He is the Way to Life...
