John 14:1-7
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Jesus is the Way to the Father
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
Jesus is our Master of the Truth...We might also say He is our Master of the Big Truth, because He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life...Followers of Jesus follow the Way, the Truth, and the Life...He is our Truth in life...
There is also a concept and idea of the "big lie", which began years ago...Years ago the big lie was associated with Nazi propaganda...
We might describe The Big Truth as Jesus...This "Big Truth" can be understood in various ways, depending on what you believe...One who believes in love and forgiveness can see the Truth and the Light...Some see the Truth of God's in His Unconditional LOVE and Forgiveness for humanity...Others see the Truth about our need for salvation and the path to redemption offered by Jesus...The Truth about eternal life and our purpose as human beings could also be considered part of the "Big Truth" revealed by Jesus...
Jesus is the Truth and tells us He is Truth...Throughout the Gospels, Jesus emphasizes Truth as a central theme in His Teachings...He declares Himself to be "the Way, the Truth, and the Life."...He teaches us God's unveiling Truth...Jesus' teachings are seen as revealing God's Ultimate and Absolute Truth about the world, humanity, and our relationship with the Divine...
During World War II propagandists found that if their leaders used simplification and repetition they could spread big lies...They tried presenting complex issues in an oversimplified way and repeating key and untrue messages relentlessly over and over...Censorship and tight control over media outlets and media outlets that are popular to those who would believe in a big lie theory...Then they limit exposure to opposing viewpoints...They used scapegoating, blaming minorities, the Jewish community, or other groups for their nation's problems...When a lie is big enough and repeated enough times many people will believe it...And this propaganda worked during the war...So we must be wary of lies small or big and guard the Truth that we believe...
The "Big Truth" stands in stark contrast to the manipulative tactics of the "big lie."...Jesus' message is based on honesty and openness, encouraging people to seek and embrace the Truth...The "Big Truth" offers hope and liberation, while the "big lie" is used to control people through fear and manipulation...The core of Jesus' message is love for God and love for neighbor, contrasting sharply with the hate-mongering and scapegoating tactics often used in the "big lie."...
The concept of Jesus as the "Master of the Big Truth" inspires people to seek God and to seek Truth...We should be actively searching for truth and understanding throughout our lives...Living life with integrity and honesty, aligned with the values Jesus taught is the Way of Truth...Promoting love, compassion, and forgiveness in our interactions with others helps spread the Truth...
Knowing Jesus always followed the Truth is one Way to understand Jesus' message...
The idea of Jesus as the "Master of the Absolute Truth" offers a powerful alternative to manipulation and deception...It's a call to live a life based on Truth, love, and hope...Let us all seek the Truth and live our lives in the Way, the Truth, and the Life...
