General Description
This class administers and provides administrative, advisory, or technical level support in one or more human resources functional areas.
Examples of Duties
Responds to requests for information from employees and/or the general public over the phone, in person, and via e-mail regarding a variety of Human Resources programs, job opportunities, and/or other related information.
Enters a variety of information into databases; compiles data and prepares related reports; maintains related information.
Schedules employees, applicants, and/or other applicable individuals for examinations, interviews, training sessions, and/or other related activities.
Assembles and processes packets of information related to assigned area of responsibility.
Assists in creating and distributing a variety of published information, which may include: brochures, job announcements, advertisements, and/or other related information.
Prepares, maintains, and distributes a variety of correspondence, files, records, applications, and/or other related information.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), and one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school and one year of experience in Human Resources or Administration; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Material and Equipment Used/Physical Requirements
Positions in this class typically require:
Reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
