Sheila Bootman

"My painting journey bagan following my retirement from the original Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

I attended classes at Wensum Lodge for two years, studying the technique of botanical illustration using watercolour. 

The plants and flowers I paint are taken from my garden, or from the local countryside, and are painted as faithfully as possible showing the plant anatomy, true to the art of botanical illustration. 

I am fortunate to have exhibited with the Norfolk Watercolour Circle. 

Studying nature in this way gives me much pleasure and sharing it with everyone is a great privilege. "
