John Sparrow
'These Boots Were Made for Warhol'
Special Exhibition August 2022
Growing up in London in the 60’s, John was exposed to vibrant colours and art forms that left him with unforgettable memories. In the following decade, artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein started to prosper as pop art masters.
Although he always had an artistic flair, it wasn’t until 2013 after a chance meeting with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood at his art gallery in London that John was inspired to pick up his paint brush. He's self taught and paints in the pop art style of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
In 2019, six years after he started painting, he took home the prestigious Sponsor’s Choice Award at the Royal Norfolk Show Art Exhibition with a painting of Ronnie Wood himself. As well as selling his artwork, prints and merchandise, John also paints on commission.
