Mark Yardley Art
I was born in England in the seventies but spent my childhood growing up in Africa. I currently live in Wymondham and spend my time searching for new subjects to photograph and paint.
I am an established artist, specialising in natural history and wildlife painting. My work focuses on subjects reclaimed by nature, such as old abandoned fishing boats, rusted chains and even the door latches of shoreline beach huts. I often spend time on the Norfolk coast, places such as Burnham Overy Staithe, Brancaster Staithe and Holkham bay. I also regularly visit seaside towns like Aldeburgh and Southwold on the Suffolk coast to sketch and photograph.
As a child I often visited the game reserves of Zimbabwe, in particular Mana Pools National Park, and it was these experiences that inspired my African wildlife series of paintings.
