Adam Stark, from The Kicks, gets into the Punk Rock spirit with “California Sun,” in the style of The Ramones.
This song was originally a Top Ten hit in the 60’s for the Indiana garage rock band, The Riviera’s. The Ramones are known as being the founders of the punk rock movement, coming out of New York City. Their fast paced energy, combined with the thrashing wall of sound created a foundation for the rest of the punk movement to build on. Their version of "California Sun" incorporates all the essential elements that the band was known for, and would go on to make this one of the more popular songs for the band.

Adam Stark is a blues/rock based guitar player born and raised in Nashville, TN. His love for rock 'n roll of the 60's and 70's has shaped his style towards that of Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. His experience in the music industry has included years of touring for country, rock, and Christian acts, studio sessions, and running his own music lessons business. He is currently the lead guitar player and songwriter for the Nashville-based rock band, The Kicks.
