Bright Lights, Big City

Nashville guitarist Tim Dillon takes you on a journey through a classic blues standard called, “Bright Lights, Big City,” by Jimmy Reed. 

 

Reed, himself, wrote this tune with the help of his wife, Mary or “Mama” Reed. It was recorded in 1961 in Chicago and stands today as an integral part of the standard blues repertoire.

Tim plays a Gibson L-5 in the lesson.

Tim Dillon is a Blues/R&B based guitar born in St. Louis, MO. He currently resides in Nashville, TN and is working for Christian artist, Brandon Heath. His passion for the guitar began at age 16, and has grown relentlessly ever since. Tim has been playing professionally for 8 years and has toured/recorded with artists such as, Lecrae, Trip Lee, Andy Mineo, Jimmy Needham, Marc Broussard, and Brandon Heath. Tim looks forward to many more years to come.
