Will McFarlane - Part 3

R&B Guitarist Will McFarlane was playing a club in Cambridge, MA, when he was asked by Grammy-winning Blues singer Bonnie Raitt to join her band. Will spent the next six years on the road with Bonnie Raitt sharing the stage with Blues and R&B legends every night.

Eventually, Will moved to Alabama to be a part of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, providing guitar parts for countless hits from a literal who’s who of R&B music, including Bobby Blue Bland, Little Milton, Etta James, and Johnnie Taylor. Along the way, Will played guitar for many other artists, including James Taylor, Carly Simon, and Kid Rock. Still, as busy as ever, Will was recently featured on Grammy-winning Blues artist Joss Stone’s new record.

In 2008, Will was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame along with the entire Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.
