A new way for learners to transform mathematical expressions and equations
A new way for learners to transform mathematical expressions and equations
The Goal State task in GMA presents an innovative way for students to experience mathematical equivalence. In Goal State, numbers and mathematical symbols become virtual objects that students can pick up and move, and the goal is to turn an original math expression or equation to match a goal expression.
Goal State is especially useful for younger students who are learning the rules of algebra. Thanks to the error feedback system built into Goal State which provides students with immediate feedback throughout the task, students will understand what they did right and wrong, and can quickly and intuitively learn the rules of mathematics.
