Before creating the session, there are two optional session modes you can choose from, described below. When you are ready to share the activity, click the 'Create Session' button.

• Assessment Mode – GMA does not show correctness feedback for Multiple Choice and Hot Spot tasks. After students press the “Turn in All” button, they will not be able to change their work.

• Assign to Specific Classroom – If you assign this to a class, then students will need their student code to join. Each student's individual student code is listed in their roster on that class’ dashboard. Students' work is automatically saved and students can return to their work whenever they want.

  • • • If you assign the session to a pre-existing classroom, your students will automatically receive a notification that a new session has been added.

• No Option Selected - If you do not assign this to a class, the session will be open for anyone to join, if they have the link or session code. Users will identify themselves by first name and last initial.

After creating the session, you will be forwarded to the activity session. On the left-hand tab, you will find:

• The “session code” allows you to share your session with whoever you’d like. They can log into GMA as students and then enter the session code.

• “This session is assigned to” section will only appear if you assign the session to a classroom in the previous step.

• The activity session link that you can share with your students via email, Slack message, Google Classroom, etc.

You can view all of your open sessions by going to the “Sessions” section under the GMA navigation tabs on the left-hand side.
