Tools Offensively

Tools make up the other half of your physical defenses / attacks and like soldiers, they can be bought through in game methods or with real money. Tools either bolster your defenses with advantageous stat boosts or neutralize your enemies defensive stat boosts from their tools. There are tools for almost every aspect of the game so the following list is not all encompassing. The most common tools will be used to cover bonuses for…

• Range soldiers
• Walls
• Moats
• Gates

Other common tools will provide bonuses to glory or loot capacity but those are only for very confident attacks.

While you should aim for 99 tools in every slot, whether ruby or resource, you should never

have less than 25 in any slot. This provides a buffer of tools for multiple attacks, it’s always better to have the tools and not need them than need the tools and not have them. When Robber Barons attack, make sure you pull down your ruby tools and put up resource tools to prevent a loss of money on your part. Whether attacking or defending, the biggest part tools play is neutralizing the enemy's tools.

Offensively - Your goal is to prevent the defenders tools from impacting the battle as much as possible. For example, if your enemy has 100% wall bonus, you would send 10 ladders to neutralize that bonus. Some defenses are impossible to crack without buying tools so always keep in mind, some players are untouchable by you simply because they can afford to be.
