Foreign/Bloodcrow Invasion

Overview

Since the update recently to bring out the bloodcrows event, the top 50 and top 100 rewards are very attractive, similair to the nomads there is now the potential to get two level 11 gems! These are useful whatever stage of the game you are at, and make the event well worth investing time, effort and rubies in.

How to hit the Castles

The first thing you need to know about hitting the Foreign invaders is that they can be tool cleaned. To see more details on how to do this follow the link. Foreign Invaders have only 1 wave of tools, and so you can send much fewer tools in the next wave(s), remember to put banners on the wave in which you tool cleaned, to maximise glory.

The way to work out which banners to use on which castles is relatively simple:

Over 2500 troops defending - Use 5%/horsetails

1800-2500 troops defending - Use 4% banners – you get lots for free

1000-1800 troops defending - Use 3% banners

600-1000 troops defending - Use 2% banners

Under 600 – If you want to you can use red banners, but they aren't really worth using banners on much.

When deciding how to set up attacks on Foreign invaders you should pay attention to the spy report closely, the battle happens in the courtyard really, so this is where you need to look at the defence ratios, and match them effectively, if a 2:1 Ranged:Melee defence then send 2:1 Melee:Ranged attack, simples. You should be using high CY comms on FIs, these do the most damage, as you can breach the wall pretty easily, ranged troops on the defended flanks and reduce the wall, ranged and gate stats to 0, this can often be done with ladders and shield walls/iron mantlets/free 10% ranged reduction tools.

You should be sending 5 hits out at a time, this is the best number to use, as while the 5 castles you have just hit are respawning you can be hitting the other 5, you need to be hitting this many all the time, as it is the only way in which you can get the really good castles. To get the really big castles you need to hit a lot of small castles first, hit the shit to get to the nice bit. You need to send full sized armies at the Foreign invaders every time, otherwise your losses will be far too high, this is where a lot of people fall foul and mess up their whole FI event, sending 500/1000 attack troops at 500 defence troops.. It leads to you losing your armies far too quickly, if you don't have enough troops for 5 full armies then drop down to 4.. simples ;)

Defending Hits

The Foreign Invader attacks are often extremely weak hits, with very unbalanced Melee:Ranged commanders and troops, etc. They are very easy to defend, and won't require any armourer defence tools, just ruby or wooden tools.

In the foregin invasion event you can stop a castle hitting you by hitting the castle before the hit lands on you, this will stop the attack from landing, you may need to refresh the page for the attack to disappear though.
