Berimond Invasion!

Introduction

The invasion of the Berimond Invasion is the newest event to appear in the great empire. It is an event with some great rewards, especially if you are going for the Top X positions, as the gems you get from these are only matched in the long term event rewards and in the alliance tournament. This invasion is really useful for boosting gallantry for berimond gallantry titles the too.

The Berimond Invasion is effectively a trickier version of samurais/nomads, which gives far fewer coins, the defenders are stronger too, and there are more of them. The real hinderance to progress in the beri invasion is the fact that the defenders have a much better alternative statistic in defence, meaning you will be losing more ranged troops than you would against an event like the nomads/samurais.

You will need to choose between reputation and gallantry, this is a crucial decision, and the two options use very different tactics when deciding which camps to hit.

The Wrong Road

The place people go wrong in with the Berimond Invasion is the lack of planning and the untargeted approach that people go in with. You have to decide whether you are going for the equipment pieces and top X positions in the personal competition, or going for the alliance wins/rewards and the titles gained from gallantry.

How To:

The best way to go about hitting the camps is by hitting two sides, the gate and the weakest defended flank. You should use ranged troops on the first wave, and work out how many tools to use as follows: prioritise ranged defence power reduction, ideally using iron mantlets so you can fully negate the wall and gate too, but if these aren't needed or you can't afford them, use wooden mantlets instead. Once you have negated the ranged defence, reduce as much of the wall, then as much of the gate as you can. In the waves following the first, you should mirror the ratio of melee:ranged defenders by sending the same ratio but reversed, in the following waves.

Gallantry?

When going purely for gallantry, you should look for the highest level camps to hit, these can be either colour, it doesn't matter, as you are going for gallantry, the higher the level, the more troops to kill, and therefore the more gallantry gained, save your gallantry boosters for the top level camps, and use as I explain below in the long term event section.

Reputation?

When you are going for reputation, the selection is very different, you should aim to hit the lower level camps, and decide on one colour to hit, and stick to it, you should hit the lower camps because you will get much lower losses, as there are fewer defenders, and so you can keep going for longer, gaining more and more reputation.
