"The Conviction was fueled up a bit and sent on a path down to a nearby system. Rest of the fleet followed as well, some having to grapple to the Conviction due to a lack of fuel. It must've been quite the sight, seeing a fragment of the glorious (or perhaps pitiful) Clementinan Navy enter sonar range. Actually it was probably a rather pitiful sight, our fleet only has one battleship and it looks like its been scuttled. We approached what looked like a refueling station, got a spot in line after some of the foreign-looking vessels panicked and left. Fuel guy evidently didn't care fortunately, asked if we wanted liquid hydrogen or fissile material. I asked for the latter, since our hydrogen drives were MIA."
"Since I had no clue what the local currency was or how much of it equated our refueling, I simply transferred over a bronze statue depicting a member of the Imperial 5th Exosneeg Calvary Division and hoped it was enough. I think it was, since they didn't demand missing pay when we left. Now that I think of it, I don't even remember if we had to pay that much, if at all. Call it a tip I suppose."
"Once the Conviction was refueled, I reached out to the rest of the fleet, asked what they were gonna do. The crew of our battleship was all up and abstained from refueling, since they planned on indeed scuttling the ship somewhere remote in the system. The captain of the SL Hydronis asked if that was even allowed and they said using neutral resources wasn't allowed either, so it didn't matter. When turning my attention to the SL Beron, I noticed that not only did they refuse to refuel too, the crew had moved to the Hydronis via escape pods and crashed their ship into an empty area down at the blue world below. It wasn't even that badly damaged for goodness sake. That leaves us, the Hydronis, and a minelayer dubbed "The Paper Tiger" since it does not actually have any mines at the moment."
"My next goal is to return to Clementina, but frankly I dunno if that'll even be a good idea, since the last thing we heard before our communication systems completely stopped working was that Milnilchlan declared independence. Our navies could probably beat theirs, but given what happened with MG, I wouldn't count on it. Are we even still at war with MG? There's a couple MG vessels here with sufficient armaments, but they haven't engaged, warned, or fled from us, rather they're only keeping their distance. Maybe its because we're in neutral territory?"
