Description:

Hyperbrasil is a trinary star system located in Segmentum Borealis Occident, and consists of the eponymous red hypergiant star, the Superbrasil yellow main sequence star, and the Brasil brown dwarf. The system contains six planets, only one of which is inhabited ("Tellus"). Two of the moons of Hyperbrasil V ("Kepule") are also inhabited, with the Kepule subsystem appearing to be the primary economic and cultural hub of the star system. 

The system appears to have been settled by Terran colonists at some point before the Great Wipe, after which the system's population exploded from refugees streaming in. The moon "Tandua" of Kepule was terraformed around this time, setting the basis for the world's settlement and incorporation as one of the main inhabited bodies of Hyperbrasil. Since its organization, the Hyperbrasil system has experienced sporadic episodes of technological reversal, acceleration, and standardization. Currently, the system's technological prowess is roughly equivalent to that of the Gergosphere prior to the advent of the hyperdrive. 

Hyperbrasil's contact with the wider galaxy has been negligible at most, excepting ongoing trade with MG and an alleged feud with elements of the galactic far east. Most information from Hyperbrasil stems from communications with MG and travelers who journey to the system. Hyperbrasil sits in a strategic location that leaves it largely irrelevant in most interstellar conflicts, though the system did briefly serve as a minor staging area for the Clementinan Khaganate in the Gap Campaign. Hyperbrasil is deemed to be one of the safest civilized star systems in its Segmentum, and is far enough away from any belligerent powers (e.g, Hagbeadi) that the system will likely remain safe for the foreseeable future.
