Subject: The GLZ and Segmentums
The Galactic Location Zones (GLZ) are cartographic subdivisions drafted for the sake of pinpointing specific locations of the galaxy based on importance or properties while avoiding vague terminology to describe these regions. The largest unit of the GLZ is the Segmentum, which is used to describe regions on a galactic level. Other units of the GLZ include the zone, the cluster, and the subcluster, the smallest unit of the GLZ.
The galaxy is divided into 15 Segmentums, which are as follows:
Segmentum Core Proper, which encompasses the galactic core
Segmentum Triumvirate, which encompasses the territory of the Star Kingdom, Killva Hive, and Terran Brotherhood
Segmentum Gergus Superior, which encompasses the territory of Kyrnomacek, Neopolis, as well as systems such as Old Terra and Venvi
Segmentum Gergus Inferior, which encompasses polities such as Milnilchlan, Clementina, and other Gergic horde-states
Segmentum Occident, which consists of the galaxy west of the Sutheria system and is primarily under Hagbeadi occupation
Segmentum Borealis Occident, the largely unclaimed expanse between Segmentum Occident and the Galactic Gap
Segmentum Thule, the remote region which encompasses the edge of the galaxy north of Segmentum Borealis Occident and the Gap
Segmentum Gap, which extends from the Core to the Galactic Gap
Segmentum Congregtoria, the Segmentum east of the Gap which contains MG
Segmentum Sol, the Segmentum that contains the Sol system and other distant star systems.
Segmentum Binnia, the Segmentum roughly parallel to Segmentum Occident in the Galactic East. The largest Segmentum.
Segmentum Obscura, the Segmentum south of Segmentum Binnia, named so for the lack of even speculation on what occurs here.
Segmentum Alacore, the second-largest Segmentum and roughly parallel to Segmentum Congregtoria.
Segmentum Maggdurr, the Segmentum immediately south of the Divide.
Segmentum Divide, the Segmentum that occupies the Divide and separates Maggdurr Space from the Gergosphere.
