Humans (Terran variety)

Humans are by far the most common sophont in the Gergosphere and the western galaxy in general. Humans are bipedal humanoid creatures defined by a gait of relatively average height (as compared to a dwarf's diminutive form and a marrite's great form). Humans are renowned for their inherent curiosity of the world around them and their stubborn persistence that drives them forward even in the face of great adversity. Having founded most of the nations of Old Terra as they made the leap to space, a degree of anthropocentrism permeates throughout even the most diverse of societies. Though efforts have been made to make society and culture more inclusive for other sophonts, humanity makes up a majority of the population in the gergosphere and remains at the forefront of its destiny. Humans are significantly more sensitive to extreme environments than most other sophonts, but continues to find ways around this through developments in technology.
