On tonight's edition of Galaxy's Wackiest Places, we present to you: The Divide! This harrowing expanse of space located across the boundary between the Outer Reaches and Ancient Terra is home to some of the most treacherous conditions known to any. The mechanics behind these conditions are not fully understood, but are believed to involve at least one neutron star. As a result of these mysterious forces, massive “storms” resembling nebulae develop, and are known to warp across the Divide and occasionally beyond at faster-than-light speeds. In their passing, these storms are known to damage electronics, block out the light from home stars, render navigational systems useless, and strand unsuspecting ships. Fortunately, these storms typically pass through a system between a week and a month, and peter out by the time they exit the Divide, lasting approximately a few months to a year. The frequency they occur in the Divide however makes traversing the region a big no-no. Stay tuned next time for more wacky places!
