🕒~20 minutes ✍️ Analyse Adverts 🎯Speaking Skills
By yourself or together with classmates, select one of the three adverts
Analyse the adverts by identifying the appeals: do they use ethos, pathos and/or logos?
What do they want me to do/buy?
Ethos: why should I trust them?
Pathos: how do they want me to feel?
Logos: what logic/facts are used?
Make a new advertisement! The brand wants to keep the product but change the appeal.
For example: If the original ad used pathos (fear) to sell home insurance, brainstorm a pitch using logos (data/savings) instead.
Present your new and improved rhetorical strategy as your exit ticket!
