Upscale Fashion Aesthetic
Upscale Fashion Aesthetic
I literally love this type of fashion. I always associate it with urban areas such as New York, London, or Paris. Maybe Italy depending on the city. But still, I always wanted to be donned in skimpy, sparkly dresses or in MY version of business, like in some of the images you see below.
Originally, I wanted to be a high fashion model, but I realized I was going to be WAY too short. Luckily, social media says otherwise. Now that I'm old enough to dress truly however I want, I can wear all the things I wanted to wear as a child. But in order to wear some of these, I feel like I need to be invited to fancy events. Or influencer events. Either way, big events. I'm only 18 though, so I don't need to stress about time. My time for these events will come sooner or later.
But a brand I loved for the last few years is The Seraphina Collection. The Seraphina Collection has the prettiest dresses, like the one above. I discovered them when I was 15, looking for my Sweet 16 dress. I promised myself that whenever I could, I'd go back and purchase a dress from them for a birthday. Probably 21 though. It really just depends on what I'm doing for my birthday.
But I think I just like more classic styles, in fashion and in my wardrobe. That's ultimately my end goal for my wardrobe. Like I literally want mostly heels of some sort, with a few slides and slippers here and there. I think the job I got at the furniture market might jumpstart that because I'm realizing that I'm going to need more business/business casual clothes for the professions I'm usually interested in. I already started looking on ZARA for a new coat and button-down shirt. They're both in the kid's section, but it works. My only issue is their sizing, as I've never bought anything from them. The Oxford shirts for both the kids and women's sections claim they run big, so that's why I'm struggling. Same thing with the trench coat I found, except that runs normally...I think.
But on the bright side, I found the cutest loafers there too. Sumana recommended that I look on Zara Kids for shoes because they're supposed to be good for people with smaller feet, so I'm definitely going to buy a pair over the break. I think I'm a size 2.5 there, I just need to remeasure my feet to make sure they won't be too big.
I think I can't wait to be out in the world, in a higher-up position(?). Like in a position where I can wear stuff like this almost all the time. I think the one thing I will slightly miss though is denim. I don't wear it often anymore, but it's something I like. For example, I like flared jeans, but I won't wear them. I like jean jackets, but I don't really wear them anymore. I mean I might if it's pink, but that's a huge maybe.
Hopefully, when I'm more established in the world of jobs, I can afford the wardrobe I really want. Or a car. But both would be ideal.
